The Big Day

The Bay Area and Silicon Valley, a world famous entrepreneurial cluster, is where I had the pleasure of dedicate the summer of 2008 to work as an intern in a fast growing start-up company. Besides work, I have had courses at U.C. Berkeley which included writing a business plan and pitch the idea for venture capitalists.

Yesterday was the big day. I was pleased to hand in the business plan, an individual paper, and deliver my very best during the presentation. What a learning experience this stay has been!

Last day at work

Hey folks,
Today is my last day at Kyte (my summer internship). Time has flown by so fast. I have the final exam on Monday night. It's going to be an oral presentation of our business idea, plus a hand in of the business idea. Accordingly, I have plenty to do over the weekend ;-)

I though I would post a picture from when I went to visit my girls in Utah. We went to Café Rio, one of my favorites!

Horrible blogger

I have been a horrible blogger. I guess it all reflects my skill of writing journals in general. To put it this way, I'm not a good journal writer either.

Anyway, San Francisco has treated me really good! I like it here a lot. There is just no place like it. The fact that the entrepreneurial environment is one of a kind makes it really fun to work here. You just can't go out for lunch and not hear people's conversation about business ideas, angel investments, company growth and so forth. It's really my kind of work environment. The only bummer is that my wife is not too keen on living here, which I can fully understand. Our family life is really good and safe in Norway! But if we get really rich one day then maybe we can purchase a house in a safe neighborhood here. The real estate market here is insane! Prices are ridicules.

I am really looking forward to come home and get into regular routines and to be close to my two girls. I miss them terribly and can't wait to have them in my arms. Until then, adios!
